Default Suspension options

After doing a brief search thru the Legacy Forum, I've found quite a few options for after market suspension options for a 93-94 Turbo sedan.

For coil over systems, I found:
1) Tein
2) DMS
3) Cusco

For just springs, I found:
1) DMS
2) Whiteline
3) H&R
4) Eibach
5) Subaru V5

For just struts, I found:
2) Subaru V5

I know quite few of you have had some combination of these set-ups.

I was looking for any feedback you could offer regarding any of these products. Obviously, I'd like to go DMS. But I can't justify the cost.

Also, if anyone has experience with springs. How much did you drop. I don't wanna take out more than an inch.

I don't think the KYB AGXs are actually available for Legacys, and I know the v5s aren't either. That said, both apparently work fine on Legacys despite being designed for Imprezas. The KYB GR2 is available in a Legacy model.

I currently have the FHI ver 5 struts on my legacy. They even have the exact same part number as the Impreza ones. The FHI ver 5 springs have too soft of a spring rate for our cars.

They sell KYB AGXs specifically for your 93-94 legacy. These sell for around $400 shipping included. You could then buy a set of Ground Control kit that comes with height adjustable spring adapters and a set of Eibach pro springs with rates of your choise. The GC kit is $400. So you would get height and stiffness adjustability for $800 new.

Post How much are you going to invest!

I am running 50 MM DMS on my 90 L sedan for rally which would probably be overkill for what you are going to be doing with the car. The DMS Golds are 1800 bucks. I know it is a lot of money but I think you would be very happy with the results.

There are a few other as well. APEX as well as D2 for Coil-overs.... pretty soon you guys will be hearing about another company with springs for the Legacys
