not changing your oil will have nothing to do with the cel, get the code pulled as stated and get back to us.

Just because the car is stock doesnt mean nothing will ever go wrong with it.

the reason i'm so mad is because i work a volume tomorrow and have a paper due monday- my schedule was tight enough without having to get an OBDreading/get my car fixed someplace.

When did you last fill for gas? Go tighten your gas cap.

Was your gas cap loose? Sounds like this was probably your problem. It'll take a little while of driving for the light to go back out.

ok i had the same problem on mine. I went in to get the recall thing fixed, and I asked them to see what the CEL was. Turns out it was a bad rear 02 sensor. They replaced it for free! Thanks Prestige! (probably still under waranty, but still).
I would definitely have that checked out.
