Default WNC folks watch out for this Impreza

Wolf in sheep's clothing:

Built by Prestige for a customer as a "Sleeper"

Yes, it is an STi without rear wing, rear badges, and hoodscoop.

I will let Templar fill in the rest.

It is a beast, that is for certain. Right now it is running a very conservative tune and only 19 psi until the owner gets some dyno time.

Mod list:

Deadbolt TD06-20g turbo, ported, polished, and ceramic coated.
TurboXS FMIC
TurboXS UTEC-STI
Perrin STI modded injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
TurboXS short ram intake
Helix 21mm front sway bar
Cusco 20-24mm rear sway bar
Tanabe GF210 springs
TWR Racing Stainless steel lines
Motul fluids
5Zigen FN01R-C rims-18x8.5
BFGoodrich G-Force TA KDW2 tires (245-40-18)
Debadged and removed rear wing
Impreza RS hood

Even at the moderate tune level, this car is fairly frighteningly fast. One of our salesmen drove the car while following the owner home Friday evening. When he got back to the dealership he told me that I should be arrested for coming up with such nastyness.

And there is an even sicker car coming soon from Prestige Motorsports...we are just waiting for the last few parts to arrive.

Those 18s only weight 18lbs each, so there isn't much weight gain there. The biggest weight gain is from those beefy 245 40-18 tires. They are actually mis-sized a little I believe. They measure in at just a touch over 10 inches wide.

An APS DR650 or DR725 (black) would seal the deal for me plus some Advan RG's.

The owner took the hood with him. I will check with him, but I don't believe he wants to sell any of the parts. He still has every single part that came off of the car.

Stealth. Those brake calipers are a real give away, though.

The RS hood weighs a whoping 7 pounds more than the STI hood with scoop intact. That big scoop is fairly heavy.

The bumps on the front lip are also a giveaway.

Sure wish I could get the old parts that Prestige took off of MY car when I got it ( Downpipe and exhaust and intake airbox ). So far waiting 6 months and no luck!

Actually, I haven't really considered that car a "sleeper" since the first batch of modifications we did. Now with the springs and the 18 with the wide tires, it just has a very European look to it.

I actually looked for a CF hood for the customer, but he wanted one that was completely smooth like a stock RS hood. All the ones I found either had the scoop, had a reverse scoop, or some form of venting. And as I said, we weighed the two hoods. There is only 7 lbs difference between the two, and with the power and torque this beast has, it only feels the reduced drag from the lack of a FedEx package slot in the front.
