Default when to get get new wheels?

i got some oz superleggeras about a year-and-a-half ago and was curious what is the lifespan of a good quality wheel such as an oz?

i drive pretty hard on them and frequently make taxing runs on them in the mountains and track, so...

are there any visible/obvious signs that i need new wheels (other than the clear coat fading)? any advice is well recieved!

thanks guys!

Oh they are already dangerously worn out. You _must_ get rid of them immediately.

I'd be glad to take them off your hands for, oh, $100!

No, just kidding. If you have no cracks or bends quality wheels last as long as the car. Curb rash can be fixed with touch up paint. There are also places (one of the big ones is in Atlanta -- I can't remember the name.) that restore wheels back to new condition even with bends and sometimes with cracks. I personally wouldn't drive on a wheel with a fixed crack but others don't seem to mind.

check their born-on date. I suspect they may be expired.

i replace wheels after i bend them or give some serious curb rash along the entire side, unfortunatly that is often (damn potholes and curbs).

Your wheels sound like they are in good working order, but

there is nothing wrong with buying new wheels if you think your subie needs new shoes.....
