Default Dead Fuel Pump possibly?

Ok whats up guys, i got a problem, my baby wont start I was driving to the skatepark to do a little late night session with some friends, i pull into the parking lot while my foot is on the pedal going about 15-20 mph and the engine just shuts off, baterry is still going and lights are still on, music is still playing but the engine just shut off. Whats with that? So i stop and turn the car off completely and try to restart it, the car tries to start but its like its not getting any fuel, i know my gas gauge isnt wrong because i just filled up and it was fine. I called up Mike(tribalwrx) and he came and checked it out, when you turn the key on his car you can hear his fuel pump start up, like the little whooshing sound of fuel being sent to the hoses and what not ya know, but on mine you hear nothing at all. So we checked all the fuses and what not and they all seemed fine. What the hell could be the problem, is my pump dead? We tried to take off the furl lines but those things were on there tighter than anything, not to mention we were freezing in the rain. God i wish i wasnt such a noob, someone please help, i dont wanna take this thing to the shop again. Yeah i hope all that made sense

Thanks for reading, ~Will~

#1 check under your intercooler and make sure your hoses didn't pop off.
#2 if it is your fuel pump, I still have my stocker(somewhere?) that we can test it with and if it is I'll sell it to you for like $25.

If it has lights, and power, how would the alternator affect whether the car starts?

Ok i just got back form checking it out, pulled off the intercooler, all hoses were in tact and connected properly. Pulled off the fuel line that Mike and I were trying to take off the other night, there was a little bit of gasoline in the line that drizzled out, i had a friend turn the key to see if the pump was working and sure enough it isnt, the engine just tries to crank over with no fuel, the pump wasnt pumping anything. Mike, i will give you a call later and yeah you can bring your laptop and we can try to figure this out, and other mike lol i may be taking that fuel pump off your hands here soon. Is it an easy install? Should i have my car towed here to my garage to install? And are the pumps the same for the 02 and 03 models? Thanks for your help guys, i'll call ya in a bit Mike(tribal)

first find out what that fuse powers. then I would start with any mods in that area i.e. remote start guages computer add-ons something is probably loose or wired wrong. 20k miles is pretty low to have other problems, i doubt anything is messed up. Once you find out what the fuse powers start unhooking things until the problem goes away. A 30 amp fuse is a big one to blow so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Something has a direct short.

There was some shady wiring at and around the interior fuse panel...

you should probably unhook the battery while you're digging around.
