Sunset strip in Hollywood & Hollywood strip in hollywood (if you wanna party). Disneyland, magic mountain, city walk, universal studios, the beach(huntington or malibu..cleanest i think) Melrose strip(if you wanna go shopping..it's like Haight ST. in frisco) strip joints if your girl is down like that. 3rd st in Santa Monica(nice for tourists)

What sets it apart from every other outlet mall on the planet?

Besides the fact that it is in a smoggy unpleasant area.

Are you kidding me, youre in the middle of Riverside, whats not to like! All smartassery aside (stay as far away from Riverside as possible) I would go to the Newport area, Lido Isle, Balboa island etc. Its one of the closest beaches to the anaheim area and there are some really good romantic restaurants at Lido Isle (Mama Mia's is my fav). You can even get a gondola ride/ wine cheese / romantic italian meal there on Lido Isle.

spend a day in Santa Monica 3rd st. there are many shops and restaurants..you have many selections and the beach is 2 blocks away(walkable for sure) and there is a pier..somewhat romantic with a girl. if you are in Anahiem take her to Disneyland for sure..(that is if she is from the bay too) or check out down town disney..other than that stay out of Orange County!!!!!!! LA is where it's at. oh yea if you decide to go to Santa monica you can take a nice coastal drive on PCH heading north and go to Zuma/ Malibu. very nice scenic drive. make sure you go bar hopping on Sunset!!!! one of the best night life scene in LA.

by the way my girl lives in the Bay..so i too would need suggestions on what to do up there. goodluck mang. let me warn you LA has major smog and heavy heavy traffic!!! and the people here are ruthless!!! you'll find some cool ones but they'll end up backstabbing you!!! other than that you will be aiight.
