Post Street School at Thunderhill

I was thinking about going to Street School at Thunderhill on Saturday July 29. I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in going. It's a one day event and runs for $175. Anyone wanna go?!

Hello,

I recently did a street school at thunderhill and think anyone who has not been to the track should go. Thunderhill is about 1 hour north of Sacramento off the 5. From out here in the bay, we get to 80 and take 80 to 550 to 5, so it's not as far as bay-sac-t-hill. You either get up really early or you stay at one of the cheap hotels up there...

Do it! It's a wonderful learning experience.

I may go.....but I have to see if I am not working on-call that weekend (yes I do work weekends, but only 1 every four weeks). And I will need to see if my wife will let me.

(no wise responses about "asking the wife" please, when you are married, you got to think as two...not one)

I'm very interested in improving my driving skills. And will look into it.

Thumbs down

Eddie i think anyone who makes stupid wise cracks should seriously get their priorities straight.
even though im not married (hey im 18 gimme a break :P ) i still know that marriage is ALL about compromise. You have to work things out between each other and negotiate all day and all night.

Personally, i respect anyone who respects their wives. and this is not some kind of attempt to kiss up to anyone, im just stating how I feel about this

Thanks Sev for your support.

I've gotten some remarks about the wife (even here on the BB) and just wanted to put up-front that I didn't care for it.

Lets face it....a very good many of us are married, and are fortunate to have wifes (and husbands for those who are gals here) who support, or tolerate our interests on our Suby's.

Now not to change the topic on this link...I will have a chat with the misses and see if I can go play at Thunderhill

Sev....I'll e-mail

I'm definitely interested in going! I picked up my RS last saturday, and have heard many good things about Thunderhill. A few questions for those who have already done the street school:

Will the stock tires suffice, or should I replace them?
Do I need to bring my helmet?
Is the entry cost per participant or per car?

I will probably bring my girlfriend with me if I go. She won't be driving, but she seems genuinely interested in cars, driving skills, etc. I knew I liked her when we watched 'Grand Prix' together, and she mentioned the cars before mentioning Yves Montand!

Question

I'm DOWN!!! Except for the part about the 3 point seatbelt thing....How much do those cost? If you read the fine print it says you need driver and passenger 3 point harnesses.
