Default Subaru marketing survey mentions NASIOC

I just took an online survery about my recent Baja purchase from SOA marketing...

One question asks you about the research process for buying your Subaru and one of the answers is:

(_) Enthusiast websites (NAISOC.com, etc.)

So, I guess they are watching the boards!

The survey was all branding and advertising focused. It appears they are trying to suss out there brand image and are looking at the competitor brands of BMW, Audi, Saab, Honda and Hyuandai.

Having done some user research myself, they are struggling with brand and product positioning for Subaru as a more premium or performance brand and looking for the brand DNA around which to build a new media campaign... of course, I could be smoking crack too...

At least all of their collateral and assets of the web survey still have Bajas in them...

Dear SOA,
Please do not kill the Baja.

Please add 2" of headroom or a height-adjustable seat.
Please also add a 6 speed manual and the 250hp Legacy GT tuning.

Thanks,
fdg008
Almost like writing a letter to Santa... almost that time of year too...

Seriously tho, many car firms lurk on the enthusiast boards to guage market acceptance, modifications being done, and unfortunately for Mitsu EVO drivers - whether or not they were racing their cars so Mitsu could void their warranties!
