Question Cobb Tuning

Hello,

AS I am new to the mod world of 2.5s, I was wondering what opinions people had about Cobb, specifically whether their Phase I (Intake/exhuast) work is worth the price, and whether their performance claims are necessarily accurate.

Specifically, is their intake noticeably better than ones from competitors like Ganzflow. Along the same line, are you paying a premium for high-quality products like the Stromung..

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Viv

I never got to drive my car without the Cobb phase one items but I did drive a demo car 5months before and it seemed a little subdued compared with the Cobb CAI and Stumong exhaust. I like the note the car has now too.

As EVERYBODY will say you can't go wrong with Trey and COBB TUNING. Check out my Cobb car:

Cobb tuning offers a great selection of quality performance parts. My only expierence with them was ordering a K&N Air filter, It took a little long to ship and i was a little pissed but nothing worthy of giving them a bad revue, especially since internet stuff is always a little less organized at any shop. Filter took almost 2 weeks from the time i mailed the money order to the time it came. But im DEFINITLY BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN, hopefully my headers will be a little quicker....

I have Cobb's cold air intake and a Stromung and love them both. I'm even driving down to Texas from Illinois to get some work done by Cobb. Josh and Trey are excellent to deal with. Highly recommended.

Thumbs up Good things to those that wait....

The only thing I had a problem with was my intake. I ordered one from them and it was about a 7 1/2 weeks wait. I was so happy when I got it though. I love the hell out of my intake except for one thing. It's a ticket waiting to happen for me. I drive hella fast everywhere I go now. I like hearing it while driving under bridges. I think it would of been nice to get the K&N filter recharge kit with it though. I really recommend going to an Auto parts store and buying a hose similar to the ones that come with it. I place a cut down the middle of it so I could place it around the hole of the fender hole. It stops the intake from rattling around the hole during start ups. Makes a better seal around there also. So far the mods I've gotten from Cobb are:
Intake
Short Shifter
Under drive pulley

I'm satisfied with everyone of them. I under stand that it takes time for them (Cobb tunning) to get some of the stuff to ship off to their customers. There's always things that pop up and are out of their control that messes up the rest of the flow of things. ( I don't know if that made any sense to you guys) I plan on doing more business with them in the future. My next project is a new exhaust system. Can't hardly wait to get it. I wish I had a job like that under cover cop had in that Fast and Furious movie. Hey Trey, you think you could hook a brother up when and if I decide to get out of the military? Just though I ask...
