Default Haltech E6K to 6-wire stepper motor

I have read in some post that you have used this successfully with the E6K. Can someone help me out because I cannot get it working properly.

You have the brown, brown-white, green-yellow and red-yellow signal wires from the Haltech. The stepper has red, blue, black, white and 2 larger red wires (from memory after playing with it heaps last night).

I was able to group the 6 wires into 2 groups. Red and blue, plus 1 of the big red wires being the centre tap. Black and white with the other bigger red wire as the centre tap.

Does the Haltech signal 1 & 2 go to 1 group, and signal 3 & 4 go to the second group. The larger red wires get a 12volt feed?

Am I missing something or doing it wrong?

Please help, I would love to get the engine running smoothly instead of sounding like a high idling rotary
