News Rapid progress at Radical - RPA 2.6l V8

Not sure if any of you have been following the latest at Radical Motorsport, but just in the last few days they've been making tremendous progress on their new 2.6l V8 slated to be used in their new SR8. The whole engine package weighs only 95kg (209lbs), but so far they've been able to extract 383hp@10,000 / 207lbs-ft@6,800!

I have to give them a lot of credit for their accomplishments considering they're such a small operation that's really pushing the envelope.

Also, check out the sound clips on this page - it's about the meanest sounding engine I've ever heard. News entry with sound clips

I can't wait to see what the new engine will do in a chassis. Now if I could only get one of those street-legal (UK) SR3's registered in the States...

I'd love to get behind the wheel of one of those, even without the V8. The world needs more cars like that.

That would be the engine I would want in the Lotus Elise.
