Talking Srt-4 Eater

the subie gained some respect tonight at the local "parking lot car get-together" theres all these srt-4's that come out every saturday night and i probably get 5 different people a night wanting to race my '04 STi. i DONT race my car.....im toooo anal about it, so i dont wanna beat it. i take wayyyy good care of it.
anyways, i had enough of the taunting tonight so i had some chump in his stage II srt-4 and another guy in a stage I w/extra mods come out and i raced both of them.
i dusted the stage I pretty good, then i lined'em up with the stage II and i SMOKED him.......not once but twice!! then we raced from a 45mph roll-on and once again, i blew him away. im not talking just inching on him, im talking smoking him.....

im so very proud of my subie. AWESOME CARS. evryone who owns one, you rock, and if you dont own one, they'd be something you'd like to have.

the two guys i smoked were actually pretty cool about the whole thing and finally admitted that perhaps their cars were not quite as fast as they originally thought. i have to credit them with being gracious losers.
its not that their cars weren't quick, the subies are just alot quicker.

ya'll shouldve seen their faces though. its nice to be the one seeing that face instead of the one giving it....(i used to have a civic....nuff said)

I certainly hope an STi beats lightly modded SRT4s... an STi is only $11,000 more dollars.

The SRT-4s just didn't bother hitting the NOS against you; if they did they would have been way 2F2F for you.

Either your car isn't stock, or the SRT guys are lying about their mods. You should absolutely smoke an SRT from a standing start. But from a 45mph roll, a stage II SRT-4 should beat your STi pretty easily. They weigh roughly the same and put significantly more power to the ground than your car. And from a 45mph start, traction isn't an issue, so your AWD is only hurting you at that point.

Not bashing the STi at all, but the SRT-4 is hardly the big joke that everyone on here loves to pretend. Stock vs. stock, they will kill a base WRX, and with the stage kits, they'll beat a stock STi in a straight line from a roll. Of course, they'd be out of their minds to mess with an STi on a road course, but in terms of straight horsepower and torque, they have put more to the ground because of their significantly lower driveline loss.
