Will an 04 WRX 6 Disk Changer fit in an 01-03 WRX?

Just what the thread title says: will an 04 WRX 6 disk changer fit in an 01-03 WRX? Just wondering because someone wants to buy the one I've got for sale, but has an 02 or something.......

i think it will but if not i got a 02 6 disk for $75 in perfect condition.

Yea, it should work. My 02 WRX one fit in and worked perfect on my friend's '97 Outback.

Umm, no offense or anything but 02wrx in a 97 outback isn't exactly an 04 wrx in an 02...does anyone have a solid answer?

Aaron, it will fit, wiring is the same from the 93 legacy and up, including all other models, the outback included, as long as he has a double din, itll plug right up.

ive seen them being put into 2nd gen RX-7's.

they will fit in the my02-03 wrx but a different color.

The only difference between the 2 radios is the 04+s are silver and the 02-03s are black.
