Default My Scooby got SMACKED! By a Truck...WAS A HIT AND RUN!!!!

Last Sunday night I was on my way to a Port Kells mini meet around 9:00pm at the Tim Hortons in front of that Lordco store and the end of 200th st. Anyways I was on 200th ST heading north bound in the left lane driving pass the Famous Players Silver City when a Black 98-01 Ford Ranger pickup truck in the middle lane had this great idea to change into the left lane without checking his blind spot. I layed on my horn but that b*st@rd still came in, I slammed my brakes and repeatedly honked my horn and he still came in and finally smacked my front passenger side fender in. Completely crushed in! I saw the look of shock on his face when he hit me. Right ahead was a traffic light which was green, he quickly ripped a right turn on to the street crossing 2 lanes to get there. He turned onto the street that leads to the front of the SilverCity Theater. I...being on the far left lane was left stuck going through the traffic light. MAN!!! A hit and run! I wanted so badly to pull my E Brake and rip a 180 degree turn and chase him, but there was a middle divider in the road. I never found the guy!

I couldn't get a plate# cause it was dark and raining, and It happen so fast.

Now I have to deal with the COPS and ICBC WHAT A PAIN!!!!

I'm so mad I had to vent a little...instead of planning to buy a new bumper for my scooby I now have to pay for the cost of repairing the fender. This will set me back over a month. I wont make it to Import Fest in NOV.

thanks for listening to me

If it is hit and run, then all you need is to pay the deductable. Your insurance rate won't increase.

Sorry to say, but it's common in Port Kells.
Very similar situations have happened to a few friends of mine. There are way too many rednecks and dip****s out here, and sometimes it spills over.

Good luck with icbc, and getting to the show.

If you go rushing all the proceduces, i think you will make it to the fest since you still have a month if and only if the parts is avalible in stock.

With a proposed 50,000 new residents in Willoughby alone, and a total of 90,000 people in Langley already, it will prove to be a hard find. Too bad you didn't get even a partial plate.

dudes, i almost got run over on my motorcycle... 5271 GM was the license.. Caucasian 30ish male redneck looking truck driver... if you see him, do me a favor and fart in his direction.

Sorry about the accident man... that just sucks. Make sure ICBC knows, so if he tries to claim damage, it might redflag his case.

cops don't do ANYthing! they're useless! so i had to pay my deductible and get it fixed myself...
