the stars represent the companies that make up FHI. It's also a constilation (not going to try and spell it right now and I'm too lazy to look it up right now too). The info can be found on Subaru's website.

Question

It perplexes me how one can be a "specialist", but not know the answer to that question.

Okay, I'll educate. In the Taurus Constellation, there is a group of Six Stars called the Pleiades. In Japan, these are called SUBARU, which means "To Unite". This name was chosen in 1953 when 5 companies merged to become Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI).

Hey Motor City 'RS : Chill.

"Specialist" only designates that the user has posted over a certain number of times set by the board.

Default what's up with the bashing?

gee Motor City RS, so being a Scooby specialist, i am suppose to know everything about subaru? then what does Scooby Gurus suppose to know? i was just looking at the subaru logo, and was wondering what the stars mean. i never looked up history of subaru. i know they won 3 straight seasons in WRC, the impreza wasn't the first car used by subaru for rally, and other stuff. i made a post cause i know someone here would know it, but didn't expect someone flaming me for a simple question.

I'd always wondered why the Pleiades were referred to as "The Seven Sisters", when there are apparently only six easily visible stars. Google to the rescue; here's what I found: http://www.ras.ucalgary.ca/~gibson/p...ades_myth.html

There's a reference to the "lost Pleiad" near the bottom of the page.
