Default MRT CE light problem, anyone?

I reset my ECU but it came back again. I am wondering if it will just go off like the one guy I talked to. Mine is bright and glowing and I am wondering if there will be any damage from driving with it on for a while. Otherwise the performance is great and the gas mileage has gone from 280 to 300 for 14 gallons to 330 to 350.
Anyone know what is goin' on.

Default CHECK ENGINE light

The ECU is getting an "out of range" signal from one or more of the devices it uses to adjust the air fuel mixture ratio.
There is a recall on 02 sensors for MY01 vehicles
It would be a good idea to state what you are driving

Default MRT

I have a 2001 RS and I thought that the recall was only on 2000 models.

Its your o2 sensor, The pipe isn't hlding heat. MRT "heat coating" is no more than BBQ paint. Get the header heat coated, about 100- 150 bucks. The performance will go down once the O2 is working properly though

If you were affected by the O2 sensor recall, you should have gotten a letter. Not every car of any year was affected, but various ones were. I guess it couldn't hurt to call up your dealer and rattle off the VIN number to see if it is one of the recalled ones...but I'd wonder what they would think about the exhaust.

FWIW, I plan to P/C my header section when I get it. Might take care of the CE light, but will at least not smoke like a mofo for the first few days.
