Default MY99 Intake: Rallispec vs. PRM style

Hey guys I was just wondering which intake you think is better for a MY99. I saw that pic of the custom CAI intake with the PRM in-line filter and I thought it was pretty sweet. Anyways, I'm debating between the 2 and was hoping that you had some thoughts on the subject.

Both are great CAI's. I mentioned in another thread that Cobb Tuning has one coming out and so does Compass Motorsports. If you can hang in there I'm sure we will be pleasantly surprised. And if not then atleast we will have more options to choose from.

Actually I heard that Rallispec isn't making their CAI's anymore. Anyone have any info on that?

Default U might wanna re-consider

Mikey,

U might wanna re-consider your intake. The MY99 style of air flow sensor is VERY finicky about aftermarket intakes.

Many have reported blown AF sensors, now if that relates to having the intake, well there is no proof, but at round 300 bones a shot, do you really need that 3hp for a cool looking intake??

IMO....Get a good panel filter.....remove the "snorkis" from the fender well and call it a day.

Peas,
AaRoN

I made my decision...I am going with the PRM intake. Getting one custom made by Gerry "Mr. PRM" himself. I think I'll be the first MY99 in Canada to have one. I Can't wait til next week!!!
