is it possible to get the tein flex with something other than 10kg/8kg? I'm looking for something around 7/5 or so.

Hi there..

Unfortuatenly right now that is not possible. The teins are not able to be custom sprung in house prior to shipping.

I spoke with Tein about this same thing a few weeks back. They informed me you would need to purchase the springs seperately from the Flex set up. In other words purchase an additional set of springs, i.e.9/7 or 8/6, for $50 a spring.

According to them you can go down 2kg or up 2kg before they will need to be revalved, 8kg/6kg being the lowest spring rates and 12kg/10kg being the highest spring rates you could go without revalving.

Subin..

Thats great. I appreciate all of the information. I was very sure that the process went something like that. JIC is the same way but they will swap the springs on a set for you rather than just charging you for two sets. You can also go up or down more than 2kg with the addition of helper springs without the need to revalve. We just sold a 12/12 set of JICs for a customer that does road racing. There are a couple different options out there, the teins or the JICs are good options.

Cheers,

w1

For all you cats out there looking at new springs I can tell you that the Espelir ASD will not disapoint. I was of the first guys from World One to install a set of the ASD springs back in March. Going from stock to the ASD is an awsome experince. The ride is actually less bouncy on the Espelir springs than with the stock units. Also the turn in is superb! I've got a perrin rear sawy installed and it was fighting the stock springs around every corner. I could feel the car buck and bounce when ever I took a corner "spirited." Now with the ASD the grips like a freaking cheeta and rips around corners better than anything I've been in. I have total confidence especialy in quick hard 90's and off camber corners.
I was going to get the Prodrive's but Garrett talked me into trying the Espelir's and I'm glad he did, what a spring, plus he gave me a bitchin' price on them since I was one of the first to get 'em. So I'd say get them they're deffinently worth the money, even if I had paid full price I wouldn't feel any diffrent about them.

How are they Espelir ASD springs with the stock struts. I have a 04 wrx with a cusco rear sway bar. I am thinking of getting these springs. and then investing in some shocks later on.

The ASD springs are great with the stock struts. You will not sacrafice ride quality and will gain better handlinglust by using these springs on stock struts. Most people who pruchase these springs use them on thier stock struts.

Agreed! I kept my stock struts and have no complaints about the ride at all, infact I'd would go as far to say it's a better ride than stock, less bouncy for sure and bumps in the road aren't harsh by any means.

Better let your employees know then. I just talked to someone there via AIM to purchase some Espelir ASD springs and they quoted me 210+shipping. I alerted them on the special on nasioc and I was told that it would be really hard to get them for that price.

I have searched for this, and seeing as how I am unable to find the info, it means I probably did it wrong b/c I swear I read something about this and can no longer find it... BUT!... I will ask in case someone has the info handy:

Are the Espelir GT springs linear or progressive rate?

I know the rates are like 280 lb/in. front and 230 lb/in. rear, but... progressive/linear??

My gut says linear b/c otherwise they'd list a range, but -sometimes- you see stuff listed incorrectly b/c no one bothered to ask or clarify, or it was just an oversight.

Thanks

-James

They don't really list the progressive rates, but the springs are progressively wound for sure. The 280/230 number is the only thing I've ever really seen posted, but as an owner, I can definitely say they're progressive.

i recently broke one of my stock rsb mounts. I already have a helix rsb and endlinks and was interested in upgrading my rsb mounts. I was wondering on availability and pricing. If i could get a quote for the brands and prices shipped to 92887 i would really appreciate it.
