Default Rear end grind

I'm having trouble w/ a 98 2.5RS. The rear end is has a nasty grinding noise when moving. No chang in pitch but starts out pulsing and as speed builds up it becomes consistant. I havn't had a good look underneath yet but I'm suspecting bad wheel bearings. Anybody out there have any experience doing such a repair? Also, I'm looking for a good repair manual for the car. Thanks for any input.

I've heard on this board and at the dealership that wheel bearings, especially rear ones, are one of Subarus problems. The SVXs are known for ruining them.

Well, I did some investigation and came to the conclusion that I would probably screw some stuff up. I'm pretty sure it is the wheel bearings though. At 30,000 miles this should not be happening. I'll be taking it to the dealer this week how. I'll update ya'll when I find out the problem. Thank you for your response.
