Default 04 sti hid onto a 04 wrx???

anyone know how to put the hid from a 04 sti onto a 04 wrx headlight housing i have the ballast and bulbs with ignitors??? help ahha dunno wat to do since bulbs do not fit in the hole.....

I know one of the things that you have to do is disable the daytime running lights in order to do the conversion. Check out Scoobymods. They may have step by step directions regarding this.

It sounds like you don't have the complete headlight assemblies from the STi, only the HID components? That really isn't going to work well. As you are finding out, the halogen housings are made to accomodate H1 bulbs while the HID housings are made for D2R bulbs which are very different. Assuming it is even possible to physically install what you have, the results aren't going to be the same as installing a complete set of STi lights. The internal reflector designs of the halogen and HID lights are different even though they look similar so the lighting performance will not be the same, and due to the differences in bulb setup it will be difficult or impossible to align the bulbs correctly. The proper way to do this is to replace the entire headlight assembly.
