Question Help selecting performance gauge pack

Hello,

My MY01 RS was bought off the lot and did not have the factory performance gauge pack option (vacuum, voltage, and oil temp.). Is it possible/advisable to order this part separately and install it oneself (I'm reasonably competent toolwise but not a pro)? Also, are there better after-market gauge packs to look for instead?

I did a search here first but could only find references to separate, high-end gauges. I'm really interested only in the factory 3-in-one unit or something equivalent that mounts into the reserved space on top of the dash.

Thanks for the help! Love my RS!

Alex

It's easy to install:

But to tell the truth the cost (500+) is way too much for what you get. I got it at a considerable discount or I would have never gotten the OEM setup. You can get the pod and pick your own gauges. Here is more info on the pod install it's in with the Compass gauge pack install. I put the Performance one in a different place than normal:

Thanks for the reply, Peaty. I'll look into getting just the OEM pod (housing) and picking the gauges separately. Your instructions at scoobymods.com really helped.

BTW, here are the current prices for the OEM parts:

Performance Gauge Pack: $530.00
Housing for above: $86.00

Check with Sugar (Lisa Wilkins) she's in the Vendor section. I think her price is around 60 for the pod and her prices always include shipping.
