Thumbs up Rice and Ridiculous

Well, well, well...

This movie was much better than i thought it would be, based on my slight bias against it.

Sure it had a few cheezy things, apart from the car vinyl, but it wasn't too overacted and the story was at least feasable.

I wasn't disappointed.

Yeah a bunch of us locally went and saw it a few weeks ago (Thanks JJ!) - the NOS stuff is totally silly Plus, it is so funny what the movie media thinks of car people - I guess they think we all have extraordinarily tacky paint jobs and Veilside body kits.

Oh, well, guess they are clueless.

What I liked in the movie: Telling the kid to double clutch in a drag race. Also, a Motec exhaust system.

And what was with the opening scene with the Honda's buzzing by. That hurt my damn ears. They could have at least used Subaru's so the cars would sound OK

I went into the movie fully expecting to be entertained; and entertained I was. The plot was average, but doable. I was not disappointed, but I wasn't expecting the overall movie to be top-notch. It's just a typcial gear-head movie which entertains some, and insults most the rest.

[EDIT] Oh yeah, and that eclipse launching was horrible. It looked like it was rwd with the way it was jumping around.

Not to nit pick...well I guess I am. Why were those Chinese guys putting Nissan (SR20DE?) engines into Hondas?

Were can I get some of those Musimoto tires?

Overall better than I expected....waaaayyyyy better than Driven, not little rich *** whining about how bad his life is.

Actually, those chinese(japanese?) guys were putting the SR20DE motors into Nissans. When in the garage, you can see a red sentra sitting up on a lift. I can't imagine they stuffed it into the car they raced with

Get this: The Eclipse has a DC 420A instead of a 4G63 in it.

Yes, this is a Neon DOHC engine.

Why? Lord knows.

I really want to know more about these cars, perhaps the Eclipse had the Buschur RWD conversion on it too?

Wierd.

Default Neon Motor

The neon motor was the NA motor used in the 2G DSM's. only the turbos got the 4G63.

saw it... saw lots of bling blingin' in the parking lot. Laughed my a off in the parking lot when 6-7 of the nesic guys all climbed into a mini van to go home. Yeah, we didn't want any trouble, or any back lash at our blinginest rides . I thought it was pretty cool, didn't feel it had much substance though.
