Default check engine light

i have a 2003 wrx with a k&n typhoon, hks down pipe, tsudo cat back exhaust, turbo-xs rfl blow off valve, s&s custom chroming headers and up-pipe, and a perrin O2 simulator ( http://www.jscspeed.com/wrx/electron...rrin_o2sim.htm ) . this simulator supposoly take the cel off, but mine is still on. i was wondering if you guys or ladies have any ideas on what to do about this problem i got. its been on a while occasionly it goes off but like in 5 miles it will come back on.

#1- Why are you posting this in the Normally Aspirated forum?
#2- Go to Autozone, or find someone nearby with a scanner, and get the code read. Then come back and post the code (in the proper forum) and we can help you further.

autozone will read the code for free and then the factory 2.0 turbo forum will be able to help you once you tell them the code.

it could be anything, the O2 simulator may be disfunctional, or it could be something altogether different. i'd put my money on something altogether different.

with those mods you might be running a lean or rich mixture(BOV would make it rich) and you could have ignition codes being thrown.

go to autozone and get it read. it's free, and you'll be able to know what's wrong rather than guesswork.
