MOD Website?
What are some good sites that have the mods for the 97 GT? I would like to find one that has some step by step instructions. First thing I want to do is remove the silencer. I don't know exactly what to remove. I am new at these Subarus so help is gladly excepted. I am not going to remove the stock air box so I bought a K&N drop in. Please help.

Open your hood. You'll see the filter box there on the right, leading into the fender. Just ahead of it, coming back out of the fender, is an intake that goes to the headlight area. Lurking behind the fender wall, connecting these two items, is your snorkus. Getting it out with no help at all is a 30 minute task for a complete newbie. You do not need to take the wheel off, but I do recommend turning to maximize the amount of space you have to work with in the wheel wells; you will be pulling the balsted thing out from behind the wheel well flashing. Just get out there with a socket set and screwdriver and get to work!

azscooby - click on 'mods - Legacy' on the left hand side. This is a well-maintained site with lots of pictures and details for mods to several models of Subaru. One of the site owners is mechanic for a Pro Rally team...
