I have a spintech muffler ('pro shootout' series) on my 04 RS, sounds nice & boxer'esque, very deep too...

Subaru Stars

does it keep a good smooth sound up high and not rattly and tingy
also ive never been a fan of bigger style mufflers but it is about 40 cheaper than the brullen and like brands...i would probably get the black unless it is offered in c/f

does everyone mount them in an upward position or is there not enough room to mount it straigh on?

I like my catback/catless stromung dual 2.5 tips, attached to a catless "test pipe" and cobb downpipe. It is a lot deeper sounding then a lot of the huge 4 inch pipe mufflers, its loud when I get on it and it rummbles good at low RPM.

No offense, but there's something wrong with your hearing if you think stromung sounds stock. Check the poll

Take a drive to your local import tuner hangout to see what kinds of cars sport Apex exhausts...

1. that hurts.

2. compare what THEY sound like, compared to what WE sound like.

3. it's mounted upwards because that's how the catback comes from the factory.
