Default Brembo BBKs and Legacy Lowering Springs (on the way)

Hey people,

We've got some Brembo big brake kits for yah:

-STi upgrade for the WRX (front): includes gold 4 piston billet aluminum calipers, stainless steel braided lines, slotted or drilled 12.8 inch rotors, high performance pads, and mounting hardware.

$1399.00
$1449.00 cryoed

For info on cryoing:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=648289

-STi upgrade for the WRX (rear): includes gold 2 piston billet aluminum calipers, stainless steel braided lines, slotted or drilled rotors, high performance pads, and mounting hardward.

Yes, for some reason, the back is the same price as the front.

-GT upgrade for 02 to present Impreza/WRX (front): includes red, black or silver 4 piston billet aluminum calipers, stainless steel braided lines, drilled 2 piece (billet aluminum hat w/ cast iron disc) rotors, high performance pads, and mounting hardware.

$2399.00
$2449.00 cryoed

-GT upgrade for 93-01 Impreza (front): includes red, black or silver 4 piston billet aluminum calipers, stainless steel braided lines, drilled 2 piece (billet aluminum hat w/ cast iron disc) rotors, high performance pads, and mounting hardware.

$2399.00
$2449.00 cryoed

I'm also working on some kits including:

-Brembo OEM replacement sport rotors (slotted or drilled)
-SS Goodridge Lines
-Pagid HP pads

More info on that soon.

Is there a difference in performance from the GT calipers to the OEM STI one's?

Any more info on the H&R lowering springs for the Legacy? Availability, drop, etc...? It might be a good idea to cross post this to the http://www.legacygt.com page.

Thanks for the suggestion. They should be about a 1.3-1.4" drop. I'm just waiting for H&R to send me the first set of springs. They haven't "officially" been released yet.

Yes, the GT calipers are slightly larger but still weigh the same as OEM STi calipers. They both feature sequentially sized pistons to counter pad slip at the leading edge of the brakes.

Geoff - can you list a price for Pagid HP pads for the '05 STi?

BTW -- Anyone used these pads (preferably with real track time on them)?

I'm working on this, I'll let you know as soon as I have the info.

Also people seem to be under the impression that these kits are take-offs or are used. They're not. They're brand new.

These Sport Replacement rotors are not 2 piece rotors so they do not make use of an aluminum hat. These rotors are the same dimensions as the OEM rotor but are slotted or drilled and are made out of a higher quality compound.

For pull race pads, I recommend the Pagid RS 4-4 Orange pads. These are fairly rotor friendly and are fade resistant up to abou 1050 degrees F. For something a little more serious, I recommend the Pagid RS 14 Black. This is a medium to high friction ceramic compound that is good up to 1200 degrees F and is found on CART, F3, many Touring/GT cars, Trans-Am, etc. I will post pricing for these tomorrow if you're interested. Thanks.

The price for the Pagid HP 4-2-1 pads is $179 for the front of the STi OEM kit and $149 for the rear of the STi OEM kit. These pads are good street pads and will work in the cold but they are also good for the weekend track warrior. These pads will go for 30 minutes with no problem on the track.

Hey, do you have any of the Brembo (OEM) BBK kits still in stock? I need a set with cryo'd pads and rotors, too.

Thanks

We have all of them in stock. I assume you're talking about the STi gold caliper BBK for the WRX? We're set to run the cryo machine in about a week so let me know. Thanks.

Porterfield R4S pads for the WRX and STi:
These pads are similar to the Pagid 4-2-1s in that they are HP street pads that can see weekend track time (~30 minutes at a time with no fade). They dust very little for HP pads, work when cold, and don't squeal.

STi Front: $189
STi Rear: $79

WRX Front: $119
WRX Rear: $79
