Default Sat. Oct 30th !!!

Just read the weather report...

Snow level will be down to 2000 ft Sat. w/ lots of snow tonight.

Time to slap those winter tires on and hit the mountains!

I'm heading up to the Olympic mountains to do some snow covered logging road action! Yahoo!

Can anyone post some specific directions to some of these logging roads or some kick @$$ places to tear it up with limited chances of getting tickets.

The lower parking lots at Crystal mountain are a good choice. Don't speed on the way up though. There's a lot of cops on that road.

You can find hundreds of logging roads up near Crystal Mountain too. There's many ways to get above 3,000 feet.

Another good location to drive when the snow level is down, is Capitol Forest near Olympia. The elevation there gets up to 2700 feet.

My favorite snow rally runs are up in the Olympic mountains. It would be impossible for me to tell you how to get up the logging road mazes. I have one run up there that goes along a ridge for 4 miles at 4700 feet of elevation. It also my favorite place to go backcountry snowboarding.
