('93-'01) My DOORS RATTLE!!....

The passanger door is fine...but the drivers side sux....when ever i close the door you can hear something loose in there like the window or something....and when im blasting music...some types of sounds like the mid range makes it rattle in there....how do i fix this?

Subaru's have frameless windows, so if the windows are in any position but fully up, the windows will rattle.

If something is rattling inside the doors with the windows rolled all the way up, you'd better get it checked out!

For rattling during loud music, you should try Dynomat. It is a self-adhesive vibration deadening material. Should be available at any decent car audio specialty shop. You stick it to the surfaces near the speaker and it absorbs stray vibrations. I've never used it but I've heard nothing but good things about it.

The dynamat stuff will work - but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative go to the hardware store and get a couple rolls of 2"x2" foam stripping and a roll of double sticky tape - take off the door pannel (its really easy) and double sticky tape the foam to all the high spots (its kinda trial and error) - the stereo rattle is from the door pannel vibrating against the door itself. Thats what i did to my 2001 RS and it works great - no rattle at all due to the stereo

my driver door did the same thing. as it turned out, it was a loose nut on the thinger bobber that holds the window on. consequently, a few days later when rolling down my window it would just drop to the bottom of the door. "no good!" i said. so, i took it to my friendly dealership and they fixed it lickety split.

My 98 passenger door is F'ed up like that if you shut it/slam it it sound slike the window is gonna break but my driver side is ok. Also when looking at it the molding doesnt seem to line up to good. Oh well what to do

Try taking the extra cassette tapes out of the little side-door storage pockets. Usually works for me.
