Question Acceptable offset for a race only rim

I know all about the offset debate for oem or closed to oem sized tires, but this question is more towards undersizing. To add to this, the new search function won't allow searches for anything under 4 characters, so searching for any info on a "43" offset won't work

I came across a set of used Speedline 5 spoke 15X6.5" wheels with an offset of 43. I know for a street tire this offset would result in rubbing.
Here's my question: if I were to put 225/45/15 kumho extca victoracers (not released yet that I know of) would I end up with rubbing? These tires will overall be about 1.5-2" shorter than my snow tires 195/65/15 (on subaru steelies).

Car stats: DMS golds with ~ 1" drop

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 225/45-15 is nearly 2" less diameter, no I seriously doubt it would rub on a 15x6.5 +43.

I wouldn't use that wheel personally. Your scrub radius is going to be pretty ugly, not to mention the load on your already less-than-bulletproof Subaru wheelbearings.

Argh! The wheel & tire combo calculator is down. Damn, I hope not for good... I knew I should have snagged a copy of the source and hosted it myself. Well anyway, I don't want to crunch the numbers by hand right now but this combination wouldn't be desirable to me.

I forgot to add my allgnment specs:
-1.9 camber up front 1/8" total toe out
-1.3 camber in the rear

Colin or anyone else:

when you say this is bad for the wheel bearings, is this only if these are used for street driving, or would the bearings be ok if this was used exlcusively for auto-x (ie about 2 miles per race day?) Thanks.

Oops, I forgot to ask, what is the scrub radius?
