Default Clutch is shot...

Backround: 00' 2.5RS CAI, CBE

This just started yesterday.
If i put the gas pedal down to much the RPMs go up really fast but the car doesnt go much faster and when the car starts to accelerate the RPMs go back down. Seems to be driving fine other then that... Is it the clutch...?

Thanks Woodrow

Your clutch is slipping. Time for a new one.

You can spend as much as you want. For stock exedy is just fine.

Listen to the man. The stock clutch is just fine (disc is made by exedy) unless you plan to turbo the car later. The only thing that might be worth doing since the clutch will be out (and presumably you'll be having the flywheel resurfaced) is putting in a lightweight flywheel if that's your thing.

I agree. Stock clutch is good. I know from experience. (5 clutches so far) Clutchmaster stage 3 clutch was the worst one. Stock is the best for mild modifications.
