Send me a PM. I've been contemplating loosing my STi wing for a WRX one. To many cops give me dirt looks . We'd have to swap locks as well, since I'd be nice if our keys actually worked on the trunk. I'm still debating this however.

Out of curiosity, why don't you just buy the STi wing and put it on? You cork the original holes after removing the stock wing, and drill new ones to fit for the STi. The STi wing is a complete oval, so it will cover the original holes. You can get it for less than $350 painted from Subaru, cheaper from some resellers.

Info:
I'm leaning towards swapping my trunk with someone's STi trunk, do you know how hard it is to swap the trunk's along with the lock mechanism's.Do you have any detailed pics on the lock mechanism specifically the removal and replacement.

The locks and hinges are all the same so that will be easy.So you can swap trunks very easy. The only thing you will need is the trunk springs. They can be a pain if you do not have the tool.

Info:
There are 2 torsion bars I should say that are connected to your hinges. You
should swap the bars over. If you don't your trunk will shut by itself. You
may be able to use screwdrivers to remove them.
