Default Got 86RX turbo where to get info on car/mods?

My girlfriends brother bought a 864dr RX thats got 130k miles on it runs like a champ its gray with a skunkstripe lol everything works but i can't find anyinformation on these cars HP figures or anything. Is there any sites or pics around of them? What should we look out for ive read about headgaskets and this one appears to be ok for now we dont' knwo the history short of the past 3 years that a fireman i work with owned it as a commuter car. Radio is terrible we are working on that its got nice interior its a 4dr sedan. I'm big into rs/wrx work at a shop with them and was thinking of a nice 2.25in or 2.5in turboback is this feasible or will the car not work properly? DO wrx downpipes fit this and what turbo is on it? Car moves pretty good it smoked my 84 celica GTS rwd pretty good when we both shifted to 2nd. Ive read the weight was 2500 lbs roughly pretty light. Was thinkin of putting aboost gauge in it whats stock boost? Gotta love the fwd full time 4wd and 4low range. Do these sound like wrx's with open mufflers? WE were thinking of making up a cold air intake from pvc and a k&n cone filter. Any info would be appreciated. Where do you get parts for these at this time we only need a passengerheadlight are GL's the same body? thanks in advance sorry for being an old school noob.

Too many questions all at once

Hit me up on AIM and I'll see if I can answer them one at a time

- HP = 115ish
- Head gaskets, ya they tend to blow if you overheat the car, but replacing them isnt THAT hard once you yank the engine out.
- I would say get a 2.5 or even a 3 inch turbo back exhaust. 2.5 should be plenty as the engine is only 1.8 liters.
- I am a bit confused, full time 4WD AND its an 86 sedan?? It should be a part time 4WD dual range being an 86.
- I think stock boost is like 7 lbs?
- Lots of WRX parts fit, not sure which ones though
- A GL headlight should fit. The glass I am almost certain will match up, depending on the year the metal housing which the reflector and glass mount to may have to be changed on the good light.

thanks for the info the car is fwd full time part time 4wd and low range. On the to do list is hella driving lights free flowing edhaust open element air filter boost gauge maybe some sort of boost controller with BOV added at that time. car move it squirted ahead of my 84 celica gts 105hp when we both hit second. My wrx wasn't much of a fair race. I can only imagine what kind of sleeper this RX could really be. Reliable mods are number 1 though.

well, you can always try the wrx td04 turbo route, get hte td04, top mount intercooler, down pipe and cat back exhaust, as well as the xt "spider" manifold, anf a large throtytle body, and possible some different cams. take out the a/c and spare tire. get some peugeot rims if you want a larger rim with a wide stance. then i think you can get a maf adapter from an old nissan sentra for the cone filter. there is probable a lot more than what i mentioned, but i am about to fall asleep and can really think of anything else.

good luck and have fun with your rx.

peace

If you need a MAF adapter, go to Autozone($9.99 +tax). Made out of metal. The only problem you will encounter with it, is that you have to drill out 2 holes so they match the stock MAF holes, but other than that, no big deal.

I also used the one from autozone.. its listed as a nissan adapter, was 15.99 and didn't require any drilling.. straight bolt on
