Default Drilling into my Borla headers???????

I did a search about EGT installs...alot of good info but i have one question.
So all i have to do is drill a hole into my header for this probe to work?????? no welding???
Do any of you Borla Gen 3 header owners have this setup...What does it do to the warranty on the header? see and rusting or leaking of exhaust gas??????
Thanks

This is the autometer 5374 6.5 foot braided steel street series pyrometer probe.

The strap-on EGT probe is designed to be mounted on a perfectly tubular surface. I haven't seen the Borla headers in person, but I'm assuming that like the stock part, there aren't any tubular areas close enough to the exhaust ports.

I think you'll be violating Borla's warranty if they can prove that your probe caused the problem.

And don't bother with Autometer street series probes. They're useless for tuning because of their slow reaction times.

yeah. I've been told if you're getting an EGT setup.. get the best probe you can find.

Westach makes some EGT probes. They're also used for aviation.
