Default Just received Borla Headers...now where's the gaskets???

I ordered my Borla header from Cobb Tuning and they said that the header does not come with gaskets!!! Where do I purchase it??? From my local dealer!!! Does anyone sell it online for cheaper???

Help...I want to install the header...Hopefully by then my Brullen cat back will come in too!!!

buy new stock gaskets from your favorite discount subaru dealer. subaruparts.com, troncalli, irvine, ISR, etc.

Or you can flip your old gaskets and reuse them. that is what I did.

if the engine has relatively few miles on it, great.

otherwise you're sure to have an exhaust leak.

Thumbs up

I had 40K when I put on the header (fliped the gaskets). I cracked the header to 55K, put a new header on (fliped the gaskets). I am at 61K now no leaks.....

Seesh. The gaskets aren't that expensive. Go to the dealer. You'll be glad you did when you hear the header installed.

Don't worry man, it's nothing to freak out about. Go by the nearest Subaru dealer, walk up to the parts area and ask for 2 header gaskets. They're $6.60 apiece.

Hi, I'm thinking of getting the Borla headers too.
What is the install like ? can I do it myself with some wheel-Ramps ?
What kind of gains can I expect ?
cheers
Jon

Honestly, the gains are in sound quality... HP might be in the 5-10 range, but that might be wishful thinking on my part. I just got mine installed (re-used old gaskets... leak... bought new gaskets, used some Ultra-Copper as a backup... no leak!) and they sound awesome! I also have the SS Stromung mid and muffler...
