Default Has anyone done valve adjustments

I recently read a post about incresing horsepower and changing the curve by doing a simple valve readjustment. Here is the part of the other post that I was talking about. Has anyone done this with a DOHC EJ25 and experienced good gains? What needs to be done??

Thanks
Brad

"Then I spoke to him about Cams, and told him that I was thinking about the Cobb Tuning cams. He explained that sometimes, you can get as much as 10 HP, depending on the state of tune, from your car with a simple valve adjustment. That surprised me....

He can set the overlap / valve timing by modifying the valve gap. He took my car in and adjusted the valves, the first result was really dismal, no torque until 5000 then zooooom.

We got back to the shop and he drew a RPM vs Power graph and asked where I needed more. After we finished the graph, he took the car back into the garage, adjusted the valves (cold) and when I picked it up at the end of the day, all I could say was WOW!!!

Normal acceleration until 2500 RPM, %10 (about) more torque between 2500 - 3500, and 3500 - Redline, goes like stink. Acts like a VTEC above 3500, tone changes, and pulls like a madman. "

I have the cobb cams and I had my valves readjusted to cobb tuning specs (.007 intake and .009 exhaust). Anyway, are your valve adjustments similar to this, what are the specs? I felt more power increase after the valve adjustment because it needed to be adjusted after 2000klm with the cobb cams and I adjusted them at 4000klm, so there was a noticable difference. Thanks.

The person I quoted above had there stock cams adjusted. I was just wondering if any performance minded DOHC drivers have had this done and what power increases they found.

thanks
Brad
