Default Low Compression + Blow By = ??

So.. about 2 months ago I spun a bearing and got it fixed. I strted realising that the car has been running abit funny lately so looked into a few things and noticed LOW oil and alot of BLOW BY. So I did a Compression test ASAP.. and sure enough 2 cylinders were low. My shop said my RINGS are gone. I am sooo pissed becuase when the did my bearings they should have checked my Rings. I spoke to mechanic and he said that compression was fine back than. Anyways it's now getting fixed. I am getting new RINGS put on. can anyone tell me if my car will be ok after all this? I was told I have to break the car inn again slowly after new rings are put inn Plus.. I should put NON-Synthetic Oil for 1st 1000 miles and after that put Synthetic Oil. do I need new Rings or do they just need to get Hoaned? Thanks
btw- I have a 2004 STi

unless you did something to scar the cyclinder walls...ie broke a rod....you have no reason to hone your cyclinders...new rings are fine if thats what the problem is...and yes you need to break in the engine to properly seat the new rings.
