Default Who else is putting their subie away for winter?

new paint+ CF lip + 18" wheels= go nowhere when the snow falls. this means the car is pretty much retired to fun/show use. I pick up my new daily driver, 87 nissan pathfinder 4x4 wed.

While I appreciate your desire to keep your s00b in perfect condition, I feel like you're mising the point of driving a subaru.

::Can't wait for the snow to fall::

Oh well, different strokes for different folks I guess.

You're only supposed to put away the summer tires, not the whole car!
Count me among those waiting for snow.
I'm looking forward to traction. And occasional loss thereof.

yea you are really missing out if you put your car away for winter...

I'll put mine away in the summer if anything. The WRX (or any subaru for that matter) is made to be driven in the snow/rain! You don't know how good AWD is until you drive it in the snow! Not to mention the added benifits on more HP on colder weather. Your engine runs with at least 20+ more HP on colder days than hot summer days! or at least it felt that way for me.

so I guess no...I'm not putting the REX away for the winter.

Had an awd Passat that I used for 95% of last Winter, and discovered I was really missing the STi buzz too much. Sold it this past Summer, and can't wait for the white stuff to start, although I'd better get some snows on in short order......as it's supposed to hit 21 here tonight, and I'm on borrowed time, it seems.

I can't wait for the snow. After driving my VW (craptastic in the snow, at best) for the past several years, I am ready to see what my scoob can do!

Unless your CF lip is dragging on the ground, it's hardly too low. Just put good snow tires on your stock wheels and have fun with it in the winter. That's what subies were designed for. How often do you drive through a foot of packed snow anyway?

Year round for me.

If I had bought a Mustang it'd be going away...

The STi is staying out to play though.

Yep, my SVX is going away for the winter. I still cry over all the paint chips it got from driving it to work last winter. Doesn't mean I'm nessicarily hiding it from the snow, though, I'm sure it'll come out of the garage more than once for some virgin snow at the high school. Besides, I'm only trading one Subaru for another, and the XT6 is much more fun in the snow anyhow.

Winter! That's why God made Subarus. That's why I bought my Impreza. After trading-in my '95 Legacy last Spring on a Focus for my wife, this would have been my first winter in 20 years without a Subie. The closer winter got, the more nervous I got. Week before last I found a beautiful '02 Outback Sport and it was "Goodbye, Focus". Now I can sleep at night.

Michigan Winters. Can't wait. I might actually have fun this year since I got snow tires and not the Potenzas like last winter.
