Default looking at a 95 impreza, what should I know?

I have an 88 rx7, which i love, but it is totally useless in the snow. I want a cheap winter car that is still fun to drive. that's what this looks like. don't know much about the car yet, haven't seen it, i'm wondering what i should look for / common problems with these cars. what kind of potential does a 95 have to be fast? i mean it's going to be a winter beater, but i'll still be tempted to make it faster if possible.

The 95 impreza's are great little cars ... You'll have fun with them in the snow.. .The body's are really light... If ya want to make it go fast then you're gonna have to swap in a WRX engine (not hard to find)... Or there is a way to just custom fab a turbo and run about 6psi... That will give it a nice kick in the pants

just called the seller. $2000. good condition, except for an exhaust leak, an oil leak, and a frozen caliper. what do you guys think? sounds reasonable to me.

they can last well over 200K if taken cared properly. Does it have the 1.8 or 2.2?
