i have an 08 wrx with a vf52 swap. i just tried to put the spacer you sent me on my perrin tmic. its the one for the newer wrxs that spaces the tmic higher away from the slave cylinder. that thing is useless! its too high. and now one of my vf52 threaded holes are partially stripped. did you think maybe sending out longer bolts for the spacer? now i have to bolt and nut one of my turbo bolt holes. im done with your overpriced products!

My Perrin down pipe has cracked twice at the transmission bracket. Is this a weak point? It cracks at the weld.. I'm considering cutting the bracket off..

Italy, It's not a normal stress point. Make sure that the transmission bracket isn't being forced. When it's installed, it should be mounted on the turbo loose, and it should slide into the transmission bracket easily by pushing up on the downpipe. Then tighten down the downpipe on the turbo, then transmission bracket, then to the catback.

Seems its been a while since a question was asked but I'll revive it. Deals with installing a Perrin inlet in a 05' forester xt, with the rerouting of the pcv and teeing it into the tmic line...can I just keep that sensor plugged in and attached as it is and just cap that matching spot on the perrin unit?

A little more searching answered my question...tee into the tmic breather tube and attach other end to PVC in block, then just cap off that port on the inlet

Is there anywhere at all online that I can get a Perrin downpipe? I just got my CatBack from the Perrin site and ordered a downpipe from another site but they were out of stock. Is this what any listings for the downpipe are going to end up as?

WOW! Lots of stuff on here and many good points, some of you complaining to much, if you know anything about aftermarket it's that it's always fight to make it fit!
I have to give it to PERRIN under the hood of my 03 bugeye is PERRIN RIGHT OUT! And not one part came without instructions or the hardware, any questions over the phone answered and emails did take a few days but hey there's a lot of us emailing them and I betcha it's maybe only a couple people at the computer writing back, give them a break

For you PERRIN
I would love to see a red air filter for the Intakes, diff covers ( I swear I saw one but called and didn't make it, I assume I'm mistaken of someone made it and hacked something up, anyways would be awesome, your short throw bushings I have to say I hated I had them in for no more than 3 days and put the stock back in, there still sitting In my tool box for some reason.
MAKE A TOP MOUNT!!!!!! Make gauge clusters, inside fabric panels, diff cover, sti spoiler speacil with a Perrin badge, side mirros carbon fibre but PERRIN! Radiator!!!! Man you guys should pay me for these ideas lol, your market would stretch a lot more to of you found a more economical way to produce parts and supply a cheaper price, mishi moto, brans like them make awesome pArts and blow you guys outta the wAter in that department

I'm honestly not sure as I am unable to check their stock. I know RallySport Direct had a few of the 02-07, but I am unsure if they have any of the 08+ downpipes.

I would suggest giving them a call to see if they maybe have one laying around still.

Thank you very much for the compliments and ideas!

We love to hear feedback from our customers to help us make better parts. There are millions of different parts that we can make, but we choose to focus on a select few and master them! While we do have some parts that others make and make cheaper, that is not our way to make parts. If we did, everything would come from China, which that is by far NOT the case.

So, when you see our WRX oil cooler, it will not be the cheapest, but it will be pretty dang nice and backed up with data and instructions! Not to mention, it will also come with all of the normal support we provide for all of our products!

Yeah, I have a feeling finding one new is going to be quite difficult.

Wish I knew of anyone that had one so we could help you out.

Couple things... Wondering if you guys have any of the oil for the air filter that comes with the cold air intake.

Also wondering how much of a change in sound a cold air intake should produce because I recently installed one with a map, Stage 2, from Perrin. I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly as I have had no drastic drop in boost but around 8-10 pounds of boost the turbo sounds rough and sometimes like a scream. Higher up from 12-17 pounds the turbo sounds good again. There isn't any noticeable smell of burning turbo either. Maybe I'm just not used to the new sound

Lschluter10, We don't sell the cleaner and oil for the PERRIN foam filters, but you may find them locally or online. We use the Unifilter foam filter cleaner, which comes with oil and cleaner.

The PERRIN intake will add some sound, and it will vary depending on load. It is a unique sound, since the foam filter is really free flowing. Maybe a video will help?

Hello, here's a link to our instructions which will help.

You're going to want to have the nut on the setscrew to be halfway up the threads, and the cap set to be flush with the 5th line on the body of the BOV. Those are the factory settings, which will work for just about every car out there. Hope this helps, thanks!

Will the Cobb post MAF hose fit the Perrin turbo inlet hose? 2002 WRX. I purchased them both because they fit oem parts. They are close but the cobb hose is larger than the perrin.

Mangledmess1, they should fit fine, the PERRIN inlet has a 2.75" OD outlet coupler, since the COBB tube is silicone, it should be able to sinch down on the metal coupler even if it's a little bigger. Thanks!

I just picked up a new Perrin PSP-EXT-205F downpipe (front section 2002-2005 WRX) thinking I could order the rear cat section too (PSP-EXT-205R), but several shops took my order only to refund my cash since it's been discontinued. No one seems to be letting go of the rear section. Is there a chance there's a PSP-EXT-205R in a warehouse on a shelf somewhere?

rexwagon,

I'm sorry, our downpipes have been discontinued for a while now, we don't have any in stock, I'm not sure where you will be able to pick one up, sorry!
