OK I trying to figure this out, would it be ok, just to be a set of lowering springs and put them on the car, or should i get shocks.
And Im confused on that should I buy struts or shocks I looked on Suabruparts.com and saw the STI struts a set of 2 for the front, and a set of 2 for the back, they sell the rear springs, but then no longer sell the front springs. I would be very grateful for any questions answered Thank you.

If you just want springs for now, www.spdusa.com has special Eibach springs made to work with the factory struts. I think they lower it .75" If you have any ?s the guy who has the sight is really knowledgeable. Any ?s I have asked him he has answered promptly.

subaru's use a strut assembly...
if you are going lower... you will eventually need better struts for the lowering springs... H&R are good, solid springs that will lower the car signifigantly... but you will eventually need to upgrade the struts as well as the stock assembly cant handle the load for too long... j. www.subiegal.com |

My Legacy factory struts ran for 5,000 miles on H&R lowering springs with out a single problem.
Just like SubiGal said you will need to get a new set of struts to go with the lowered springs. Reason beeing is that when you lower the car you put the stock length strut in a constant compressed position. These struts aren't made to work like this for maximum life. They will work fine for quite a while but you won't get the life out of them that you would with your stock springs. I would suggest the FHI ver5 red struts. Sugar was selling them for $300 +shipping a while back. I have them on my car and they are length matched to the H&R lowering springs. |

Although I'm gonna try the red struts w/some pretty low springs, some people have said that they(the reds) might get pretty battered by such low springs. The KYB AGX springs look like they'd be pretty fun(adjustable and all), and if ya go low, they might work better.
If you're not doing it right away I'd be happy to let ya know how mine works out. The Tein springs should be here soon, they were on back order in Japan. |

I am about to buy the kyb agx 'struts' and some eibach pro-kit springs from tire rack. They have the cheapest price that I have found so-far.
