why do people go to costco for tires? I checked costco's website and it costs 100-170 for a replacement tire for a WRX. but at the tire rack, its' about 80 bucks for a ultra high performance tire. Costco seems really expensive. Am I missing something here? I know they do install, that can't cost that much can it?

Costco's tire price includes everything but tax. You get install, stems, lifetime balance/rotation/repairs and pro-rated road hazard. Its a good deal IF they have the tire you want.

Costco no longer does any work with any tire they did not sell to you as of this past August.
