Default NEW!!!! GT SPEC 14 Point SubFrame Replacement Brace!!!!!!

This part is brand new just released by GT Spec. It is a 14 point underbrace set that allows you to remove the bulky factory subframe!!!!! This will save you 12.5 lbs on the front end and increase the rigidity of the chassis. It is a 3 piece set that is made up of 14 points. Here are some pictures.

The pictures above are of the first version of the brace. Some of the bars have been moved but the general design is the same. The bar that is covering the oil filter has been moved and will not cause issues when changing your oil.

We can get these to you for 659 Shipped!!

Let me know if you have any questions.

with these in place could you still run the plastic cover? I would be kind of concerned to run without it.

No the platic cover does need to be removed to install this part. You shouldn't run into any problems removing it from your vehicle.

Advantages of this over the Do-Luck unit, which costs about half, and retains the factory splashguard?
I'm not trying to be a prick, but I am in need of a new subframe, and am shopping around.

Does this piece have issues with the GT-Spec Gen 2 headers like the Do-luck..?
Can the Cusco lower arm barr be used with this brace?

There are a couple reasons why this is better then the do-luck.

1. This will clear most aftermarket manifolds. It has been fitted to a car with the GT spec Gen II manifold. And it works fine.

2. Availablitity - Do luck parts are hard to get ahold of. The GT Spec piece will be easier to get ahold of.

3 Rigidity - The doluck piece only has I belive 8 points. The Gt spec Piece has 14 points so it will be more rigid then the Doluck.

4 Price - The cheap price is the steel version. This will be heavier then the GT Spec. The aluminium one is more expensive but close to the same weight and still has less points.

02R6 - No problems with oil filter. The pictures are of the old design. You can see in the picture

ttenneb - It fits with the GT Spec Brace so it should fit with the cusco since they mount the same way.

Erik Anderson - I would not be able to tell you at this point. It depends on how much bigger than the GT spec they are. I will try and find out for you.

Psydotek - Most likely not sorry.

Ben

Also I forgot to mention. Gt Spec are now using triple internal wall (quad-tube) design for all the new production braces. This is a upgrade from the old production which is only double internal wall. Currently cusco and greddy are only using double internal wall. The guys over at GT Spec are always pushing for the highest quality products.

Yes the wagon shares the same subframe so it will fit your vehicle with the ALK.

The subframe is not to hard to remove. It is pretty much a unbolt the stock one then bolt this up. One of our customers said he did the install in 25 min.

Do you mind educating a noob as to what the benefits of something like this would be?

Thanks,

It will save 12.6lbs in weight on the front end. This will decrease you power to weight ratio and increase your acceleration. It will also stiffen up the chassis. This will make the car handle better and become more predictable. This is like putting on a strut tower brace x100.

And of coarse the number one reason to buy this is the BLING

Is there any way to get the splash guard to fit back on? During winter time I wouldn't want to have all the salt and slush sprayed up into my engine bay. I like the brace and can see why it would be so effective but the splash guard in my mind is a necessity.
