Default Grille and Wheels that you asked for!!!

I added pics of my NEW set of wheels
I had originally ordered Volk Racing SE37K 17 x 7.5 Silver
They gave me the NEW Volk Racing LE37K 17 x 7.5 with polished lip and anthracite- (Limited Edition)

I also have pics of my custom grille everyone asks for...

Default $50 Grille and scoop...CHEAP!!!

MY99 2.5GT,

The place where I got my sound system asked me why dont you get a custom grille and I said, "Like what???" and he showed me his. So I said, "Do it Man and make sure its nice and neat!!!" When I returned to pick up my car, he finished my sound system, Bel Radar, did the grille, removed the hood scoop panel, and even mesh the hood scoop with the same stuff!!!

Come on by and take a look,

Ken do you have upgraded headlight? My stock headlights suck!!! They do not project at all. Its like they are pointed straight at the ground. What can I do to fix this.

I saw that you have a lot of supplimental lighting. What benefits have you noticed from that?

Also about your Grille. What did he do? Is that a modified stock Grills or an aftermarket Syms style? I looked at the Syms style ones and they looked sweet but were terribly expensive and thats not something I'm going to be willing to really open up my wallet for. I'd rather get my turbo faster.

I would like to come by and see your car sometime. Wait until you see my stereo install. I only have about half the components so far so it will be a little while until its complete. Heres the woofer I bought.

I have the 4-channel amp, subwoofer, wiring, and CD-Player. I still need to get 2-sets of components and the subwoofer amp. Then I will be happy with my setup.

Default Grille and Sound

The guy took the stock grille and cut out the black interior...leaving the chrome plated frame...then he custom cut mesh grille and used cable ties to tie it down...he used the same procedure for the hhod scoop!!! Remember all I paid was little bit of parts and 1 hr. of labor

As for sound...we are the list of components you want???
I got A/D/S A5is & A5im, JL Audio Dual 10" W3 Prowedge Sealed Box, PPI PC2300 & PC4400, Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Capacitor, Doe Hard Gold Battery, and now I'm waiting for Premier Pioneer's DEH-P930 headunit to replace my stock OEM double DIN unit. Nice Subs...So I take it, you are going to do an entire custom trunk system... I cant do that because underneath the custom board which the sub box sits on top will fit one of my stock 16" OEM wheel with Toyo FZ4 tire...the spare tire compartment is also carpeted too!!! In back of my sub is a 2 ton pro jack with a four way wrench AND my 1 gauge set of jumper cables !!! Safety 1st!!!

Hey, your car looks great! I have a black GT LTD and I would really like to see some more pics of the grill. How did the installer cut out the middle? Also, where did you get the ebrake handle and silver dash kit. Do you know what brand they are? Everything looks tight and I would love some more info. THanks

I can't see Crazy Ken's link. It says the page can't be displayed. Is there a problem or is it just me? I would like to see the grill everyone is talking about and the rest of the car.

Default Grille and e-brake:

The grille pics will be available Saturday...I will shot numerous pics of the grille (hood and scoop) and paste it on members/legacy/md/CRAZY KEN

the e-brake handle was a simple DIY the only problem was finding one that suits my/your taste/style...I didnt want an e-brake handle with carbon fiber but I had no choice...Installing it was simple:

open the center console and unscrew the two screws...remove the plastic panel of the e-brake handle...use a razor blade or knife and cut up the rubber and shave off everything to the bare metal...THATS IT!!!

Now choosing the e-brake was difficult becasue I found two I liked but the inner housing of the handle was tapered so it wouldnt slide all the way down...SO NOTE-make sure the inlet of the e-brake handle isn't tapered and would slide all the way down, so the release trigger protrudes out!!! After that use the supplied allen wrench and tighten three screws and your set for DRIFTING ... I mean parking!!!

Talking Sorry MY99 2.5GT:

Didn't mean to dis u really!

The lights:

Well, I use to use Kaito Hyper whites, which were better than the PIAA...but I always wanted to try the new PIAA Extreme!!! When I changed all my interior and exterior lights to hyper whites it cost me almost $300 in parts alone...I had to changed the headlight bulb numerous time...A BIG PAIN...and a little brighter than stock...it didnt have enough area covered...and the OEM fogs suck...even with the 100 watt bulb which blew every other month... I WAS SPENDING TOO MUCH MONEY REPLACING BULBS!!!

So I bought a pair of Cuzo (something cheap but built good) dual bulb driving/spot light and yanked out the 55 watt halogen and put the 100 watt hyper white...MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

I was so please, that I went back to the same speed shop and purchase the Cuzo round for lights and did the same procedure...took out the 55 watt bulb and put 100 watt hyper whites...I unscrewed the OEM foglight (2 screws) used one screw to mount the bracket...cut the OEM harness and hotwired it/soldered it to the Cuzo...DONE!!! I angled it outwards and slighty up!!!

I can see about 200 degrees because I rewired my parking lights to not blink at all and stay on at 15 watts (I believe) So now my new fog lights and driving/spot lights are brighter than my headlights and it is noticable...my headlight has a amber tone while the others had a white/blueish tone. Well I got tired and went all out!!!

I got philips H.I.D. 9007 conversion kit very very very easy to install!!! no joke just 30 to 45 mins. I lost my high beams because the conversion only gives you low and I was bummed!!! UNTIL WE CRANKED IT ON!!! The arche ignited and the headlights were blue...it gradually became pure white...BRIGHT AS Shootskis!!! Now my headlights are the brightess and thats the way I like it...NO JOKE...I can turn of my fogs, spot, and driving and still see better than before!!! You can take that to the bank!

H.I.D. 9007 conversion kit $600, which includes ballast, wiring harness (which we found out we didnt need), H.I.D. bulb and bracket!!!

I hope that was enough info MY99 2.5GT

Default Jonathan...how similar is yours???

You have a stock looking 2.5GT Limited 5sp right!!! That was the only thing I wish I had a 5 sp...WELL TOO BAD!!!

If guys/gals didnt notice, I have a Limited Edition, so my interior had all those wooden trim that didnt match my theme of my car...so when I added the 18 pcs. trim kit .. I bought a bottle of black touch-up paint and carefully painted over the wood trim...notice the door panel and center console...took me a couple of hours...I am a perfectionist!!! I still have to do the shifter area becasue I ran out of paint!

Default Foglights

Took a look at your mod list, pretty extensive! You have done to your car what I had planned on doing for a while, just no $$$. I think the foglights conversion looks great. What kind of performance increase did you feel in the Strommung and fuel pressure riser? I have been looking into to getting those as well. Did you upgrade the fuel pump along with the pressure riser? Sweet car, it's cool to see what mine could look like if I put more into it.

Default STROMUNG AND FUEL PRESSURE RISER:

Stromung definitely makes the car sound nice, but you only feel the gains around 4500 to 5500 rpm!

I have been meaning to take the fuel pressure riser off my list, because I never needed it or an upgraded fuel pump...According to the readings I get from my Autometer Full Sweeping Electrical Air-Fuel ratio meter...when I gas it to WOT my car runs rich...It has been running rich at WOT with the Stromung, Weapon-R, Magnecor wires, Ngk spark plugs, Unorthodox pulley, MSD DIS-2, and the Zex 55hp shot...So our Legacys apparently aren't running lean at high rpm's...I returned the FPR!!!

What I do need is a better CAI and exhaust system

I have in my possession Borla header and have ordered a Brullen cat back...I will do some research on a possible random tech. hi flow cat system...

Leaving the CAI, which hopefully in time Cobb Tuning will come oput with a system or PRM direct!

Cool midpipe?

Do you have a midpipe along with the Strommung? Flatline Motorsports claims a +14 hp gain with the midpipe and Strommung combo. Add the Borla headers and it seems like a good system. That's what I'm shooting for anyway. Thanks for the info on the pressure riser, I was about to buy. If you do end up selling the strommung, let me know, I'll take it off your hands....
