Default help, my engine is idleing high

ok this has me a little worried. i have my engine all running fine, i get 5 lbs of boost easy with everything stock and a wrx intercooler. around last week i started the car up and it was idleing kind of high, almost 3,000 rpm's. i figured it was just because it was sitting in the cold garage for a while before i started it up. it was sitting in there for about 2 weeks. after it idles at 3 grand for appr. 10 seconds it begins to climb, the other day the rpm's went to almost 6 grand and i got scared and thought it was going to blow so i shut the car off. after the car is running and warms up it idles fine, its just the first 10 minutes that scare me when it does that. does anyone know what im talking about, and can you please help me. Thanks
Joe

I'm not a mechanic, but controlling the idle is the job of the Idle Air Control Valve.. if its not that maybe your throttle body is not closing enough because of ??

alright, well i checked it out, there are no hoses that are pinched or kinked. i let it sit and just watched. it started off at 2,000 then climbed very slow. when i gave it some gas it went to 4,000 and stayed there then eventually after about 1 or 2 minutes it went back down and idled fine. my guess is that i need to let the car warm up before i drive it?
