Default 215-55-16 for a wrx on Prodrive springs.

Anyone running 215-55-16? I'm running prodrive springs and want to get some snow tires. Found a good deal on 215-55-16 tires and was wondering if this will be ok. Will it rub? Its slightly a bigger diameter but I can live with it if it doesn't rub.

well its hard to search and I tried to do it but only found 215-45-17. Not too many (if any) threads about 215-55-16.

I recently had 215/55/16 ContiExtremes mounted on 99RS (16x7") and installed on my 02 WRX Wagon. Very smooth, quiet ride that handles excellent in the rain & dirt. Not ideal on the tarmac twisties though--too much sidewall flex. I don't think I'd try that same size on the stock 6.5" rim. You might be able to get a better price on 205/55/16 and they should work better for a winter tire on stock rims.

I got 215/55/16 snow tires. Lowered on Prodrives. Wish me luck that they don't rub. SinhCredible Tire & Wheel 1 11-22-2004 06:33 PM
