It's happened a couple of times around town and today at an auto-x. It seems to do it with 1/4 tank or less. Today it was after the same hard right turn (it happened every run). Is this common or do I have a problem?

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">It's normal... it's common enough that STi manufactures a "baffle" to get 1 liter of fuel always available to the fuel pump. AutoX with 1/2 to 2/3 tank of gas if you can.

I know that when I roadraced motorcycles we used to put stuff our tanks full of a sponge-like material. It didn't break down in the fuel, and it kept the gas from sloshing around. But it also reduced your gas capacity to about half of what you could normally fit.
Has anyone on here ever done anything like this? Mike |
