Default Tahoe!!

What would be good value/performance for weekly trips to Tahoe for snowboard season? Its about a 3 hour drive from the east bay(oakland, SF) and Tahoe would be the only snow my wagon would see. I plan on taking off my 17" setup and getting a dedicated Tahoe setup for weekly trips. Most of the drive would be wet or dry on the freeway so Im not sure on how good of quality snow/winter tires I need, especially with my AWD. Does having 17's in the snow make a difference compared to stock 16's?

for as much as the RE 92's suck for performance driving... they will get you to where you need to go in the snow. even up mountains.

have fun in tahoe, i miss it.
