Default Will Impreza suspension work on a Legacy?

Would a set of coilovers for a 97 impreza work on a 97 legacy wagon? It is very hard to find after market parts for a 97 legacy wagon so I am trying to find alternativs. Also would:

Lower control arms from a 97-00 impreza
Front and rear sway bars from a 97-00 impreza
Cusco rear V Brace for a 97-00 impreza
Rear sway bar end links for a 97-00 impreza

Would any of these parts fit my vehicle with out any fitment problems. I am trying to improve handling. I own a 97 legacy gt wagon.

Thanks

i put impreza KYB's with Legacy H&R springs on my 99 GT

The struts couldnt really hold up to the extra weight compounded by the fact that the springs were sport springs and lowered the car too much... end result? 4 months and blown strut....

next i put on a coil over set (DMS) and had issues.
rear top hats didnt work at all.. had to cut/dremel/hack them to make them accept the coil over set up...

Impreza Rear end links will work, they should be the same.

Front and rear strut braces are model specific

I'll check on the other items when i get to work on Monday
but i do not believe control arms nor sway bars are compatible between the models.

hope this helps
Jamie

just curious....why would he need wrx rear tophats for them to work if he's using coilovers meant for a 97 impreza? Maybe I'm missing something here.

he's using impreza coilovers on a legacy
the legacy rear strut tops or tophats (at least for the sedan and maybe the wagon) are the same as the wrx and forester
gc bodied impreza's bolts for the rear tophats are about 1/2" off in the spacing
I tried last night both the new forester and 98 legacy rear tophats on my RS and neither will fit

My friend has '02/'03 WRX struts/springs on his '97 Legacy GT and it works quite well. Nice thing is that it firms the ride up just a touch more than the WRX since the GT is about 100lbs lighter. (Barely noticeable, but still a plus.)
