Wink For you Passport fans - DIY direct wire Smartcord

Take that coiled smartcord that came with the radar detector and mod it to become a straight direct wire Smartcord.

I didn't get a smartcord with mine (7500), so the wiring was really simple to figure out. Just two wires right into the rearview mirror power supply. Quick and easy - and switched.
