Default sti rims

i was told that my2004 rims will not fit on a my2005 sti. anyone know for sure?

thanks, what are you guys doing about winter tires? we dont usually see really harsh winters here. it usually is only about 2 in at worst, and the occasional ice storm. the dealer sales rep mentioned that a prob with the stock potenza is low air pressure when the temp drops.

General Info for the 04' USDM STi:

04' STi bolt pattern = 5x100
04' STi BBS wheels = 17x7.5_ET53

General Info for the 05' USDM STi:

05' STi bolt pattern = 5x114.3
05' STi BBS wheels = 17x8_ET53

Your dealer sales rep is a complete idiot. The problem with the stock STi tires isn't the air pressure, the problem is they are summer tires that don't perform very well in the cold. Look at the tread blocks, do you think those will give you any grip in the snow at all? Go with an M+S rated tire in light snow and you should be fine. If you spend a lot of time driving in snow, it might be worth your money to go with a dedicated snow set.
And do a search, this question has been asked thousands of times.
